Gender Equality, Where do we stand
The Marshall Islands has evaluated its progress towards gender equality and the empowerment of women using gender statistics in this publication produced with support from SPC’s Social Development Programme. There are clear areas of progress, notably access to quality education, increasing formal sector employment by women, women’s improved sexual and reproductive health and increased access to justice and support services for survivors of gender based violence. The publication contains a wealth of statistical information presented in a user-friendly way, and the narrative provides readers a deeper understanding of the issues.
