Natural Disasters and External Shocks

This page will have an event added every time there is a natural disaster or other external shock resulting in significant social, economic or infrastructural disruption etc. Each of these event pages will then contain a list of resources to assist in planning, response and relief efforts related to the event. This will include things such as population projections, vulnerable populations, impact maps etc. You will be able to provide comments in each event page, so please don’t hesitate to do so.   • Vanuatu growth rate revised

    Please note that the Vanuatu growth rate used for the projections has been revised to 2.3%. Maps and tables have been updated.

    100m x 100m (1 hectare) population grids have been uploaded to the Pacific Data Hub and referenced through the main COVID page.
  • Vanuatu data uploaded
    April 7, 2020 on Cyclone Harold
    Data relating to Vanuatu has been added including an impact map, house construction materials, main type of toilet used by households.
