Refreshing the PNG CRVS National Action Plan

The Papua New Guinea Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Action Plan (2020 - 2021) was developed to support the Government of Papua New Guinea in achieving a coordinated approach to the development of the CRVS system in the country. The COVID19 global pandemic and shifting priorities mean that the Action Plan gained little traction. This workshop aims to quickly refresh the plan and re-engage stakeholders and partners in its implementation. Working collaboratively, the Pacific Community (Statistics Division and Public Health Division), ESCAP, the CDC Foundation plus other BAG partners will meet with key stakeholder in Port Moresby to assess areas of the Action Plan that need refreshing and then convene three one-day workshops to address any areas needing in-depth work, refresh the Action Plan, define implementation steps and agree areas of focus for development and funding partners.
