During the onset of COVID-19, the CSTS team of the Pacific Community (SPC) provided remote technical support to the National Statistics Offices of the Pacific region in their round robin of household surveys. Since March 2020, the CSTS team has supported the implementing 10 censuses and 7 HIES.
“Finding so much data on this small island country accessible in a single place and so well documented has been an unexpected treasure”, said political economy professor, William Mishler.
New paper released by the SPC looks at the levels and trends of imports of tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes, as well as interventions to control its use in some Pacific Island Countries and Territories.
