About Godwin
Godwin Oji joined SPC in 2024 and leads the finance and administration components of the Statistics for Development Division.
He is a certified chartered accountant of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He has previously worked with various international development organisations where he’s held leadership roles such as Country Finance Controller and Director of Finance and Compliance.
He has a degree in agricultural economics and marketing from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth.
How I support stakeholders
- Leading a team that fosters and develops effective working relationships with member countries/territories and partner agencies in delivering financial planning, monitoring and reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
- Providing financial services to the Division’s programmes and projects with a value-for-money focus
- Supporting the implementation of the shared services vision in the Division by collaborating across central finance and areas like procurement and grant services, compliance, risk management and business processes
- Providing Divisional, project and programme financial administration support to meet the needs of field technical staff as they deliver training and support to national statistics offices across the Pacific region.
