The purpose of the meeting is to discuss progress to-date, prepare for the final review of the Asia Pacific CRVS Decade (2015-2024) and possible extension, and decide on future focus areas for the work of the Regional Steering Group.
 

Meeting Aim and Approaches

The Heads of Planning and Statistics (HOPS) brings together the most senior officials responsible for the production and use of statistics at national levels around the Pacific region.

​A Regional Customs Modernisation Workshop organised by the Oceania Customs Organisation is currently underway in Port Vila, Vanuatu from the 18th – 21st April 2023. SPC is collaborating with OCO to provide an overview of the Pacific Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System 2022 and its correlation to the Standard International Trade Classification.

ABOUT ICAS

International Conference on Agricultural Statistics (ICAS) focuses on fostering and leveraging best practices and research in response to the changing needs and opportunities for agricultural statistics.

Main topic:

To focus on free and open-source software, including global digital goods for health Tamanu and Tupaia which share data to the SPC Pacific Data Hub. Sessions include discussing integration between CRVS and Digital health systems.

​The World Health Organization (WHO), in collaboration with the Brisbane Accord Group, invites you to this webinar series. This series will introduce ICD-11 (International Classification of Diseases 11th Revision) and related resources available to Pacific Island countries and areas (PICs).

The workshop provides an opportunity for countries which undertook an inequality assessment to share experiences and lessons learned with other countries, and to document best practices for other countries which may be interested in undertaking an inequality assessment in the future.
