Pacific Disability Statistics Planning Meeting

​This is a meeting of the Pacific Group on Disability Statistics (PGDS) steering committee to develop a multiyear work plan for Pacific Disability Statistics. Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has allocated new funding to enable the PGDS to deliver an enhanced program of work for Pacific Disability Statistics in 2024-2026. This program will support member countries in the production and use of reliable, valid, and comparable disability statistics through facilitation, cooperation, engagement, and capacity building, including through South-South collaboration. Members of the PGDS Steering Committee have been invited to participate from Kiribati's National Statistics Office, the Samoa Bureau of Statistics, the Pacific Disability Forum (PDF), the Pacific Island Forum Secretariat (PIFS), SPC, and UNICEF.
