The workshop's ultimate goal is to contribute to the long-term goal of enhancing the capacity of Pacific Island states to produce accurate, timely, and sufficiently disaggregated population and demographic statistics, both country-owned and country-generated, that provide the needed data for driving and achieving country aspirations.
